The souks in Morocco are colorful, busy, and outdoors. The Reed Residence, located in Marrakesh, will resemble the souks by incorporating Carolina blues, indigos, periwinkles, and wood elements through tiles, furniture, and architectural wood carvings. Geometric lines in tile patterns and wall coverings incorporate the grid street structure throughout the souks. By including natural wood floors, wooden architectural archways, alcoves, and interior plants, nature will be brought into the space to represent the outdoor market. The apartment will create a luxurious and functional Moroccan escape for the Reed couple.
